FORT MONMOUTH -- Mrs. Minta W. Baran, 37, wife of Master Sgt. Edward J. Baran, 99 Linden ave., Middletown, died Tuesday at the station hospital here.

Born in Biloxi, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lucille Dawson. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Barbara, aged 8, and Linda, 18 months, and a sister, Mrs. Richard Courmoyer of Riverside, Cal.

The funeral took place at 10 a.m. today at the John W. Flock funeral home, Long Branch, with a Protestant chaplain from the post officiating. Burial followed at Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport.
