Richard "Dick" Davis
Richard "Dick" Davis age 67 of Hood River, Oregon died June 4 at Portland Area Hospital. He was born August 2, 1926 in Portland, Oregon to Burl and Thelma (White) Davis.
He grew up and attended school's in Brownsville, where he graduated from high school. After high school he enlisted and served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Joanne Garrett in Brownsville, Oregon on December 31, 1946. The couple moved to Hood River in 1967, where he took over the management of the Dee Harboard Plant operations with the Champion International retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Americian Legion and the Brownsville Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, traveling, and gardening. He loved rodeo's and was a cowboy at heart.
Survivors include his wife Joanne Davis of Hood River and six grancdchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral service was Tuesday June 7 at Idlewild Cemetery in Hood River.
