and Ida Caroline Anderson Davis, was
born September 7, 1909, near Scandia,
and died October 29, 1989, at the
Republic County Hospital im Belleville, KS.
He was born and raised in the Scandia
community.
He received his elementary education at
Enterprise Rural School No. 42, Republic
County.
He was united in marriage to Marjorie
Nadine Stark, October 11, 1942, at
Miami, Fla., and to this union two sons
were born.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy Air Force
June 25,1941, and served until September
5, 1945. He returned to Scandia to farm.
He was preceded in death by his
parents and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife of the home;
two sons, James Dale Davis, jr., Boulder
City, Nev., William Steele Davis, Salina;
four grandchildren: Susanne, Chris, Scott
and Melissa.
Interment was in Riverview Cemetery, Scandia.
