Edith was born June 14, 1914, in Thayer, Iowa, the daughter of Clem and Carrie Jones Davis. She married Fred R. Baxa on June 10, 1938, in Creston, Iowa. He died June 22, 1992.
Survivors include one son, Richard Baxa, Bloomington; one nephew; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Jim; and one sister, Viola.
Edith graduated from Creston High School and worked in the office at the Bloomington J.C. Penney for several years. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington. Edith had a great interest in arts and crafts and enjoyed the study of birds.
