The Yadkin County, N.C., native was the widow of Dr. W. M. Cone. She worked in the motion picture industry in Atlanta for many years. She was the first woman in Atlanta to hold the position of feature film booker. She was head booker for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. On retirement, she moved to Stilson and was a member of Hubert United Methodist Church. She was honored by the United Methodist Church for being named their Quiet Disciple for 1991.
Survivors: two brothers, Alva V. Davis of Chesapeake, Va., and Gerdie S. Davis of East Bend, N.C.; a sister, Mabel D. Norman of East Bend; a sister-in-law, Emma Ruth Davis of East Bend; a brother-in-law, Louis H. Cone of Tucker; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Hubert United Methodist Church in Stilson, burial in Old Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.
