Betty Marie (Davis) Cropsey
1943-2017
Betty M. Cropsey, 74, of Pensacola, FL passed away on May 20, 2017. She was a retired Civil Service employee of 21 years. After retirement, she focused her life on her family of 7 children and her many grandchildren/great grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, square dancing, bluegrass music and watching her children as they participated in various sports activities. She was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Carl Cropsey; her parents, Woodrow W. Davis and Thelma Atwood Huffman; two sisters, Shelia Shaffner and Patricia Harle; and a nephew, David Davis.
Betty is survived by her daughters; Dierdra (Garry) Davis, Christine (Mike) Rodgers, Bonnie Lackey, Shannon (Gary) Martin and Cheryl (Jason) Thompson; sons, Sean Cropsey and Steve (Amber) Cropsey; brother-in-law, Martin Cropsey; sister-in-law, Edith Strobeck; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Sabal House and Regency Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30AM, Wed., May 24, 2017 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with Mike Chappell officiating. Interment will follow services in Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, FL.
The family will receive friends from 5-7PM on Tues., May 23, 2017 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Regency Hospice.
