Bertie was born in Bartlett, Texas to the late Elton Hendrix and Vernie Opal (Feaster) Hendrix. Bertie exemplified her generation, hard working, determined, a homemaker that loved taking care of not only her family but any strays that the children brought home. Bertie and Robert were very good together whether it was raising the kids of working cattle or dancing, they were two peas in a pod for 66 years. She also loved music, her marigold flowers, and decorating for Christmas. Bertie was a voracious reader.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee Davis; son, Elton Wayne Davis; daughters, Sandra Jean (Davis) Raimer and Sharon Renea Davis; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Bobbie Lee Estes; and other relatives and many friends. E18
