Funeral service for Joe "Leroy" Davis, 58, Lindsay will be conducted at 2 p.m., Fri, Dec 30 at the Stufflebean Funeral Chapel. Rev Ray Breeden will officiate. Burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Davis was born on Sept. 11,1937 in Oklahoma City to Cleddie and Nora Davis. He died Sunday, Dec 25, 1994 at the Lindsay Memorial Hospital.
Davis had lived in Garvin County area most of his life. He married Jerry Ann Roberts on Dec 25, 1967 at Las Vegas. He was a Welder and mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cleddie Wallace Davis and
brother, Denny Davis.
Survivors include his wife Jerry Ann Davis of the home in Lindsay; son Joel Davis of Ft. Polk, La. and daughter Dana Davis of Lindsay; children by a previous marriage, Billy Davis, Jamie Davis and Lynn;mother Nora Davis of Pauls Valley; five brothers, Bob Davis of Elmore City, Ronnie Davis of Hennepin, Jerry Davis of Arkansas, Mike Davis of Pauls Valley, and C.W."Jr" Davis of Paoli; five sisters, Joyce Ingram of Purcell, Pat Blevins of Yukon, Kathy Phrobs of Woodward, Linda Anderson of Pauls Valley and Brenda Eastwood of Purcell; and five grandchildren.
