Amber Charles Davidson beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at age eighty-three.

He was born July 15, 1926 in Evanston, Wyoming to Amber C. Davidson and Sylvia Jane Kilburn.

He grew up on a farm in Fort Bridger, Wyoming, the oldest of ten children. In 1944, Charles won the award of High School Scientist of the Nation and with this came a scholarship to MIT. He attended MIT briefly before giving up this scholarship to serve a two-year LDS mission to Denmark.

He married Ruth Allen Hendricks in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 8, 1951. Together they had a son and two daughters. Charles had a brilliant mind, and his life's work revolved around the sciences. He loved to tinker and create electronic devices.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amber and Sylvia, a baby sister, Virginia, a brother, Edwin, two brothers-in-law, George Condos, and Sterling Rees, a granddaughter, Kyla Marie Davidson, and a grandson Seth William Buhr. He is survived by his brother, Nels (Carole) Davidson, and his sisters, Jean Condos/Gaylord (Gary), Maevonne Rees, Sharol (Frank) Thomson, Carol (Jerry) Barnes, Pat (Bill) Riggs, Elaine (Loyd) Burleson, and sister-in-law Vonda Davidson/Berrier (John); his children, Ann (Robert) Buhr, Amber (ArlaFay) Davidson, Aileen (Jim) Newton; twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, with a viewing one hour prior.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
