VIRGINIA ELDIA CARMAN
Virginia Carman of Union Dies
Mrs. Virginia Carman, 51, Union, died at her home Friday. Funeral service will be held in the L.D.S. tabernacle at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with Bishop Walter Bean officiating. Interment will be in Island City cemetery. The Daniels Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Carman was born in Bend on July 14, 1908. She had lived in La Grande for about 30 years and in Union for the past two years. She is survived by her husband, Elvin Carman, Union. Other survivors include four sons, Paul and Gary, La Grande, Ronald, U.S. Navy, Norfolk, VA., and Donald, Union; six daughters, Mrs. Beverly Kleng, Mrs. Shirley Kleng, Mrs. Joyce Smith and Mrs. Sharon Shenfield, La Grande; Mrs. Connie Exon, Harlington, Tex., and Miss Kathy Sue Carman, Union; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Davenport, Hood River; two sisters Mrs. Margaret Owens, Clatskanie, and Mrs. Doris Larsen, Portland; and 15 grandchildren.
