Edna Maxine Biggerstaff Adams, 98, of Indianapolis passed from this life on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 12:58 p.m. surrounded by the love of her family at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

Edna was born on January 1, 1914 in Martinsville, Indiana to the late Harrison and Mary Frances (Brummett) Davee. She spent her childhood in Martinsville and graduated from Martinsville High School with the class of 1932.

On June 10, 1932 she married George W. Biggerstaff; he preceded her in death on January 4, 1951.

She and George moved to Indianapolis, where she lived most all of her adult life. She worked at Inland Container in Indianapolis until the 1960's. She then took employment with U.S. Corrugated until the late 1970's, also in Indianapolis.

Edna was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and most importantly, time spent with her family and friends.

She is survived by her four sons, Dale and Wayne (wife, Roberta) Biggerstaff both of Indianapolis and Gene (wife, Wilma) & George (wife, Sharon) Biggerstaff both of Martinsville; ten grandchildren, Sherry, Wayne, Dennis, Michael, James, Alan, Scott, Gregory and George Biggerstaff, Jr. and Carol Kaufman; 18 great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Stanley, Jimmy and Ralph Davee; and one sister, Helen Dilley.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, February 10th from 5-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Saturday at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. Rev. Evie Stuard will conduct a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 11th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Centennial Cemetery in Martinsville.
