Obituary for Forrest E. "Frosty" Daugherty:

Daily Democrat, Clinton MO, Mar 3 2009 - Forrest (Frosty) E. Daugherty, 64, Clinton, departed this life on Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at the family home at 415 West Short Street, Clinton, "on the hill", the same home where he was born on Nov. 12, 1944. Frosty attended Clinton schools and after school he went into the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. After serving his country, he went to work for Unitog Clothing Factory where he worked until its closing. He then worked for Consumers in Clinton until it closed. Frosty then went to work for Wal-Mart until his retirement. After retiring and having too much time on his hands, he went back to work at Wal-Mart part-time for a total of 10 years. Frosty lived for his family by living his life "on the hill," as he called it, with his parents until their death. Frosty loved listening to country music, dancing and eating his favorite Mexican food. His favorite holiday was Thanksgiving, as his job was being the dressing tester and making the macaroni salad. Frosty made many, many friends over the years. He was one of the most kind and fun loving people you could have ever known. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence (Lightening) and Pearl Irene (Anderson) "Ma Daugherty"; three brothers, Harold, Norman and Don, with one sister, Veta Pearl Calvird. He is survived by one brother, Jim Daugherty of Clinton; one uncle, cousins and many great-and great-great-nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Frosty will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched. Memorial services were held at Vansant-Mills Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 7.
