Wilda May Bickel, age 89, of Knox, went to be with her Lord on Sunday morning, Oct. 5, 2014, at her home following a brief illness. Born Oct. 5, 1925, in Fertigs, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Silzle Dashner.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Turkey City Church of God, a member of the Women's Fellowship of the church, enjoyed doing crafts with plastic canvas, collected cows and snowmen.

She married R. Duyane Bickel.

Survivors include eight children, Shirley Mott and husband, Edward, of Pleasantville, Korona Say and husband, Carl Say Jr., Paul Bickel and wife, Joy, of Galesburg, IL, Rosco Bickel and wife, Donna, of Venus, Charles Bickel and wife, Debbie, of Venus, George Bickel and wife, Kate, of Cranberry, John Bickel and wife, Diane, of Cooperstown, and Rose McClellan and husband, Rick, of Oil City; 26 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her former husband; two brothers, Merle and Leon Dashner; two sisters, Blanche and Medora Dashner, in infancy; two granddaughters, Sonja Evans and Misty Booth and two great-granddaughters, Ariel Bickel and Liberty Bickel.

Services will be at the Turkey City Church of God, with her children, Reverend Korona Say and Reverend Paul Bickel co-officiating. Interment will be in the Fertigs Cemetery.
