Deceased Name: Rabun Cook Dasher
Springfield - Rabun Cook Dasher, 83, died Sunday, April 14 at the home of his daughter.

Mr. Dasher was born Oct. 7, 1918 in Effingham County. He was a retired farmer and member of the Springfield United Methodist Church where he served on various church committees. He was a former member of the Effingham County Campground Trustees, was a retired Director of Department of Family & Childrens Service, Man of the Year in Soil Conservation in 1960 and former member of the ASCS committee.

Survivors: wife of 59 years, Evelyn Dasher of Springfield; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley D. and Francis Palmer of Springfield; son, Mitchell Dasher and Gail Price of Springfield; grandchildren, Tonya P. and Chance Ward, Jincy Palmer, Crystal D. and Aaron Jordan, all of Springfield and Mitchell Dasher, Jr. of Savannah; great-grandchildren, Kiley and Sarah-Lyn Ward and Tyler, Hunter, Ashley and Theron Jordan, all of Springfield and sister-in-law, Mae Dasher of Palatka, FL.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p. m. Monday, April 15 at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel.

Funeral: 11:00 a. m. Tuesday at Springfield United Methodist Church.

Burial: Springfield Cemetery Annex.
