Ernest McDonald Dasher - SAVANNAH - Ernest McDonald Dasher, 83, of Savannah, Ga. died Wednesday January 25, 2012 at Shadowmoss Planation. He was born in Effingham County, and lived most of his life in Savannah. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Alee Shrine Temple and the Springfield Masonic Lodge #440, F. & A.M's. He retired as a machinist at Stone Container Paper Mill. Ernest loved his family, fishing, camping and gardening. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James A. and Eddie E. (Bud) Dasher. He is survived by one son, Ernest Albert Dasher (Donna) of Richmond Hill, Ga.; one daughter, Lila Maxine Smith (Daniel) of Rincon, Ga.; three brothers, Bobby , Herbert and Kenneth Dasher; one sister, Frances Hughes; four grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 6 pm - 8 pm Friday January 27, 2012 at The Funeral Home. Funeral Service: 10:00 am Saturday January 28, 2012 at The Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Quinney Officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Remembrances to Alzheimer's Association 201 Television Circle Savannah, Ga. 31406 or Odyssey Hospice 5105 Paulson St. Suite 2250 Savannah, Ga.
