Gordon V. Danielson, 77, of 161 W. Mountain St., died Friday, July 8, 2005. He leaves a sister, Doris Hopkins of Somerset, a sister-in-law, Jean Danielson of Worcester, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Merton Danielson and a sister, Eleanor Thurlow. Gordon was born in Worcester, son of Victor and Cora (Balcom) Danielson. He was a graduate of Commerce High and a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a group leader in the Production Dept. of Norton Co. for 43 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Greendale People's Church, twice Past Master of Montacute Lodge AF&AM, Boylston Lodge AF&AM, Major General Henry Knox Lodge of Boston, Scottish Rite Bodies, the Past Masters Unit of Melha Shriners Temple, and the Norton 25-Year Club.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 16, at 11:00 a.m. in the Greendale People's Church. Guiding Light Lodge AF&AM will conduct their ritual during the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greendale Peoples Church, Memorial Fund, 25 Francis St., Worcester MA 01606. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. is directing arrangements.

Gordon was a dear friend of my father-in-law and my parents as well as a neighbor of my parents. He was a wonderful man who always had a kind word and smile for everyone. He will be sadly missed.
