Ms. Elizabeth Leigh Blevins, 48, of Kerrville, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, in a San Antonio hospital after a short illness. A resident of Kerrville for the past nine years, she was born March 2, 1953, in Kerrville to Walton and Betty Hunt Daniel. She attended Southwest Texas State University, Stephen F. Austin University and was a graduate with an associate degree in nursing from Kilgore Junior College. She had been employed for a number of years as a registered nurse with the V.A. Medical Center in Kerrville. She formerly lived in Henderson, Texas, where she was employed by Henderson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Kerrville.
She is survived by her parents, Betty and Walton Daniel of Kerrville; two sons, Bradley Louis Blevins of Jamestown, N.C., and Daniel Craig Blevins of Henderson; one sister, Jill and husband, Rod Ratliff, of Asheville, N.C.; one brother, Mike and wife, Sheryl Daniel, of Nacogdoches, Texas; and five nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Warren Hornung officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
