Ruby Jewel Dane, 79, cherished mother, grandmother and friend, died peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, after a long journey with Alzheimer's. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at North Richland Hills Baptist Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet. Ruby was born Jan. 28, 1935, to Henry and Jewel Ridlehoover in Tioga. She worked in banking for over 30 years and retired from Wells Fargo in 1998. Ruby enjoyed many things, her church and Sunday school class, garage sales, walking, traveling, but nothing more than her family. She was an awesome example of mother and grandmother. The best this world will ever know. Her generous spirit and gentle soul, mixed with her fiery personality and sparkling sense of humor will be forever missed. Our loss is heaven's gain. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Ervin Dane; daughter, Kathy Dickey; her parents; five brothers; and one sister. Survivors: Son, Mike Dane and wife, Anita; son, Mark Dane and wife, Lydia; daughter, Brenda Krantz and husband, Wayne; her nine favorite grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her Avalon Alzheimer Care family.
