Born April 26, 1921 in Sugar City, Idaho to Douglas Pratt Romney and Viola Schwendiman. She married Darrell C. Dana on July 14, 1944 in Redwood City, California during his World War II service.
Marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in April, 1945. He was not only her loving husband, but her constant companion and partner for 55 years. They lived in Palo Alto and Los Angeles, California, and in Sandy, Utah since 1990.
She was survived by her husband, Darrell C. Dana, Sandy; three children, Patricia Carpenter (Don), Draper; Marcia Aird (Bill), St. George; Kenneth Dana (Karen), Pacifica, California; eight granddaughters, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Douglas Romney, Sacramento.
Memorial Services were held on Saturday, February 12th 2000 at 12:00 PM at the Granite Ridge Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 9600 South 3100 East in Sandy. Friends attended a Viewing from 10:30-11:30 AM, prior to the Service.
Eila was laid to rest following the conclusion of the Funeral Service at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in Holladay, Utah.
