Obituary of Virginia Carter Dambrino

Virginia Carter Dambrino, 88, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Dambrino was a native of Agricola and a lifelong resident of Gulfport. She attended high school in Gulfport and was retired from the city of Gulfport. After retirement she was employed as a senior aide for the Gulfport Community Development. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the First United Methodist Church in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Doylene Kirby; her parents, William and Annie Carter; and a brother, Malcolm Carter.
Survivors include two sons, Edward D. Dambrino of Shallow Water, Texas, and Michael H. Dambrino of Gulfport; a daughter, Mary Anne Simpson of Long Beach; a sister, Mildred Irwin of Biloxi, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue, Gulfport, where friends may call one hour before service time. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society, 182-A DeBuys Road, Biloxi, MS 39531 or the First United Methodist Church of Gulfport, 2301 15th St., Gulfport, MS 39501.
