Joanne D. Curry, 82, of Phillipsburg, N.J., passed away on March 20, 2016 at her home. Born December 22, 1933, in Jersey City, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Louis Daly and Ellen O'Neil Daly. Mrs. Curry was raised by the late Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Russell in Lyndhurst, N.J. She was also predeceased by brothers and sisters.
A longtime member of St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, Mrs. Curry was a loving wife, mother, and a devoted "Nana" to her seven grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Curry, and sons; Matthew Curry and wife Grace, of Lopatcong Township, N.J., Robert Curry and wife Carey, of Chester, N.J., and Christopher Curry and wife Jennifer, of Sparta, N.J. Mrs. Curry was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Ellen Curry, who passed in 2015. Her grandchildren are; Michael, Joe, Dan, Owen, Ava, Ryan, and Nicholas.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, 430 S. Main Street in Phillipsburg. There will be calling hours on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg from 6-8 PM. The entombment will be at the Holy Apostles Mausoleum in Greenwich Township, N.J.
