Mrs. John Dakins, age 87, died Sunday evening at Family Heritage Home, Wisconsin Rapids, where she had been living since September, 1971. Funeral services were held at the Boston Funeral Home. Burial in Liberty Corners Cemetery, Town of Buena Vista.

The former Mildred Fletcher was born April 2, 1887, in the Town of Buena Vista, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Fletcher. She attended schools in Buena Vista and married John Dakins there on Nov. 23, 1905. Mrs. Dakins and her husband farmed. Her husband died in March 1971. Mrs. Dakins was a member of Plover United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four sons, George, Mishawaka, IN, Carroll, Plover, and Wilbur and Kenneth, both of Wisconsin Rapids; four daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Louise) Worden, Buena Vista, Mrs. Raymond (Dorothy) Wollslair, Plover, Mrs. George (Eleanor) Jaecks, Wausau, and Mrs. William (Shirley) Clussman, Wisconsin Rapids; four brothers, Ward, Earl and George Fletcher, all of Buena Vista, and Claire, Almond; one sister, Mrs. Carroll (Ruth) Gilman, Buena Vista, 29 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

One son, two daughters, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
