Miss Anna Anita (Dollie) Daigre of Baton Rouge, a native of Baton Rouge, president of the Gilbert Funeral Home, died September 29.
Vice president of the Purple Shield Life Insurance Co., member of the board of directors of the Purple Shield Life Insurance Co., member of the Baton Rouge Funeral Directors Association, member of the State Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, and many other fraternal and benevolent societies.
Funeral services at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Monday, Rev. John D. Leon Walker, officiating. Burial in Magnolia Cemetery.
Survived by one sister, Mrs. Blanche Daigre Baranco; three nephews, Raymond, Joseph and Robert Baranco; two nieces, Mrs. Delores Baranco Means and Mrs. Melba Baranco Matthews; five great-nieces; five great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was a former teacher in the public school system for many years.
