He had been employed for the last six years as Chief Operating Officier at the Warren State Hospital. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Warren. Jeff loved playing piano and volunteered often to play at the Interfaith Chapel.
He was a member of the International Order of Vikings 65, Elks Lodge 223, and the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his family.
He had also served in the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Allenson Dahlgren, whom he married on July 5, 1985; a brother, Rev. Daniel Dahlgren and his wife, Marie, Sheffield, Pa.; two stepdaughters, Kristine Nicklas and her husband, Jim Menegazzi, Pittsburgh, Pa. and Amy Nicklas and her husband, Jim Wiezczek, Crosswicks, N.J.; four stepgrandchildren, Rachael, Matt and Michael Menegazzi, Brooks Wiezczek; and several nieces and nephews.
