Thelma Anna Sophia Dahlberg Stalboerger Brown, born on March 30, 1915 in Itasca County, Jesse Lake, Minnesota to Myrtle Helen Peterson and Erik Severin Dahlberg. Went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2002.

Thelma grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in January 1933 at the tail end of the worst depression in United States history. In the fall of 1942, Thelma met future husband Andrew John Stalboerger, on kind of a blind date. Andy was from Central Minnesota and had gone to Los Angeles, California during WW II to work at Lockheed in Burbank. On one of Andy's visits home to Minnesota, a co-worker from Lockheed told him to look up his former girlfriend. So he did and the rest was history.

Thelma and Andrew were married on July 4, 1943, at the First Methodist Church in Hollywood. They bought their small home in Reseda in 1953. Son Eric James was born in 1946 and Jeffrey Allen in 1952. In 1957, Andrew John Jr "Johnny" came to live with them.

Andrew Stalboerger died in October of 1972 of a sudden heart attack. Six years after Andy's death, Thelma remarried their long time friend, Gene Brown. They eloped to Las Vegas in 1978. They made many wonderful trips together including one to Des Moines, Iowa to meet his family and a very memorable trip to Vancouver, British Columbia. After almost four years of marriage, Gene died in 1981.

She loved living independently in her little house in Reseda, until her death on Wednesday, September 11, 2002. She is survived by many loved ones; two sons, a step-son, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Also her younger brother and his wife, Erick and Irene Dahlberg of San Diego, California; and many nieces and nephews also survived her.

Predeceased by her brother and his wife, Oscar August and Ginny Dahlberg; and sister, Beulah Helen (Lohman) Mattson. Viewing will be held on Monday, September 16, 2002, 10 am, at the Northridge Christian Church, Northridge, California, with Services at 11 am. Burial to follow at San Fernando Mission Cemetery, Mission Hills, California. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
