Anna Bonifacio, 78, of Monroe, died in Mercy Hospital Unit, where she had been a patient for one day. Born May 20, 1899, in Rome, Italy, she was the daughter of Angelo and Ada D'Arpini. She came to the United States and Monroe in 1917 where she married Harry Bonifacio. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Monroe Senior Citizens, and did volunteer work at the Kennedy House. Survivors include a son, Joseph Bonifacio of Sterling Heights; a daughter, Mrs. Nick (Anita Ann) Lynch of Indiana; two sisters, Mary Licina and Josephine D'Alessandri , both of Monroe, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers,Herald and Saturno "Tony" D'Arpini. Funeral services were in the Allore Funeral Home and the Rev. Sylvester Taube of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated.
Anna was laid to rest in Park View Memorial Cemetery, Livonia, Mi.
