Claudia D'Agostino Carlson, 37, of Mechanicsville, born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on June 3, 1967, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2004 in Buffalo, N.Y. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Michael J. Carlson Sr.; their children, Michael J. Jr., Dylan and Hannah; her parents, Dr. Valentino and Maria D'Agostino; her sisters, Liliana and her husband, Claudio Frijo and Sandra D'Agostino; a brother, Tony and his wife, Belinda D'Agostino. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Carlson was a 1989 graduate of the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She then worked for Ernst and Young as an audit manager, then James River Corp. as manager of benefits and accounting, then for Philip Morris as a senior decision support analyst. Mrs. Carlson then retired to take care of her family and raise her children. Friends may call in the Reid Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy. on Sunday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Monday in the Cannon Chapel on the University of Richmond Campus. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to a charity of your choice.
