Lorraine Melinda Cushman was born on April 27, 1927, in Boring, Ore., and eventually settled down in Oregon City.

She had a beautiful smile, loved life, but loved her family even more. She was married to Leo Cushman for 45 years. Lorraine suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for 14 years, but that didn’t keep her from having fun and laughing daily.

She is survived by her children, Linda, Lyle, Louise, Leonard, Leroy and Lloyd; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2016 in Willamette National Cemetery. A celebration of life was held at Valley View Evangelical Church. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1650 Naito Parkway, Suite 190, Portland, OR 97209.
