Donald W. Curtiss, Sr., 67, Eldon, died Monday at St. Mary's Health Center. Mr. Curtiss was born Aug. 4, 1909, at Lawrence, Kan., a son of William and Pearl West Curtiss. His mother survives at Eldon. He was married April 8, 1948, at Plytheville, Ark., to Victoria Fisher, who survives at the home.
Mr. Curtiss was employed as an office manager with Curtiss-Manes Construction Co., Eldon, until his retirement in 1974. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Methodist Church and the American Legion.
Other survivors include: Two sons, Donald W. Curtis, Jr., and Michael C. Curtis, both of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Manes, Eldon, and Mrs. Jean Casey, Iberia; two brothers, William A. Curtiss, Houston, Tex., and Joseph Curtis, Eldon; and one grandchild.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, with the Rev. George Burgin officiating. Burial will be in the Eldon Cemetery.
