Funeral service for Mrs. Bonita C. Cheatham, 28 years old, 3226 North Riley Avenue, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in New Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will be in New Crown Cemetery.
Mrs. Cheatham died Thursday in Methodist Hospital of burns suffered Oct. 26 when fumes from paint thinner were ignited as she and her husband, Reginald Cheatham, removed paint from the basement floor of their home.
A life resident of Indianapolis, Mrs. Cheatham was a clerk for eight years at the U.S. Army Finance Center at Fort Benjamin Harrison.
She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church Usher Board and Cordials Social Club.
Survivors, besides the husband, include a daughter, Regina Cheatham, at home; the mother, Mrs. Alma Williams; the father, Robert Curtis and two sisters, Mrs. Brenda Cushenberry and Miss Linda Williams, all of Indianapolis.
