Charles S. Curtis
Charles S. Curtis, 76, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Regency Place in Greenwood. He was a resident of Greenwood.
He was born March 21, 1925, in French Lick. His parents were Alva and Edna (Lands) Curtis. He married Carolyn Toliver on Oct. 14, 1946. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Terry C. Curtis of Evansville; two daughters, Debby McCarty of Greenwood and Cheryl Hibler of Bainbridge; a sister, Annalois Robbins of Orleans; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was employed for 32 years as an assembly line worker by Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors Corp. in Speedway, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of Glenns Valley United Methodist Church.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Funeral services are private. Burial will be at Ames Chapel Cemetery in French Lick. Arrangements are being handled by Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel.

Charles S. Curtis, 76, Greenwood, died Feb. 17. He worked on an assembly line 32 years for Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors Corp., retiring in 1983. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Curtis was a member of Glenns Valley United Methodist Church.
