Howard Basil Cursey, 67, retired produce merchant of Ripley, died about 12:10 a.m. Saturday in Lauderdale County Hospital, which he entered three weeks earlier. Services were Tuesday in Ripley Funeral Home, burial in Maplewood Cemetery. Born in Dyer County, he moved to Lauderdale County in 1912. He leaves his son, H. B. Cursey, Jr., of Madrid, Spain; his brothers, Lowell Cursey, of Ripley, and B. N. Cursey, of Dyersburg; and his sister, Mrs. Ed Roberson, of Ripley.
