Don spent his life in perpetual motion. He was on the diving and cross-country teams in high school, and he had a passion for golfing. Most recently he took up kite-boarding. He touched many lives, always offering his help to anyone. He loved to entertain and was the consummate host.
He was a member of Turlock Golf & Country Club, E Clampus Vitus, and for four years in his younger days he was a reserve fireman for Turlock Fire Dept.
Don is survived by his sons, Dane and Dustin Curry, and siblings Dean, Sherrie, Denise, and Dan (his twin) Curry. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Mon., Oct. 3, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Turlock Funeral Home. A celebration of Don's life will follow on Tues., Oct. 4, at 2 p.m., also at Turlock Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Turlock Memorial Park.
Don was an enthusiastic supporter of Verda's House, where he contributed his time and talent to refurbish the home for the families who would need it. Memorial contributions may be made to Verda's House, 715 E. Main St., Turlock 95380.
After the service, the Curry family would like to invite everyone to join them for Don's "happy hour" at Turlock Country Club, 10532 N. Golf Link Rd., Turlock.
