Yvonne passed from this life Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the age of 84. She was a native of Brusly and a resident of Plaquemine. Visiting will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine, Monday, December 5, 2011 from 2pm until Mass of Christian Burial at 3pm, celebrated by Rev. Cleo Milano. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. Survivors are her nieces, Katie Ann Canella, Jo Ann V. Johnson, Irma Lee Hill and nephew J.B. LeRay and their spouses Anthony Canella, Ralph Hill and Janet LeRay; and several great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband George Curry. Pallbearers will be her special friends and nephew, Wendell George, Alton Hebert, Jeffery Hudson, Conrad Joffrion, Paul Russo and J.B. LeRay. Honorary pallbearers will be Nolan "Country" Ruiz, Murphy Loupe and Ernest Foret. Yvonne was a friendly and jovial person who was employed outside of her home most of her life. Her first job at the age of 18 was at Neubig's Pharmacy in Plaquemine and she was last employed by Country's Café in Turnerville. May her soul and the souls of her departed relatives rest in peace.
