Dr. C. Lyle Curie, retired Ashtabula City Dentist, was born May 30, 1923 in Jefferson, Ohio and died October 29, 2010 at his home in Fruitland Park, Florida. Born to Charles J. and Della M. Curie, he attended Jefferson schools and graduated in 1940 before going on to the US Army where he served in WW II from April 1943 to March 1946. He graduated from Ohio State University where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in June 1951. He was married to the former Edith Warren in November 1942 and who preceded him in death in 2001 and is survived by nephews: Edward R. Curie, Dr. Charles Curie and Stephen Curie; nieces: Martha Curie and Diane Curie; and great nephews Jeffery and Robert. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers Robert and Ralph Curie. Funeral Services for Dr. Curie will be held at Beyers Funeral Home, 1123 W. Main St., Leesburg, FL on Tuesday November 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Eddie Wicker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment with Military Honors is to follow the service at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
