Gladys S. Cunningham, 75, died Sunday in New Castle Health Care Center following an extended illness. She was born in Augusta County, Va., the daughter of Walter and Grace Houff Sheets, but lived most of her life here.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was retired from Henry County Memorial Hospital where she was a nurse for several years.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth L. Alexander; a brother, Roy Sheets; a sister in law, Marie Plummer; a brother in law, Walter Sanger; and several nieces and nephews, including Virginia Thompson, Spiceland.
