Clark M. Cunningham, age 98 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, died September 13, 1991. Born January 28, 1893, at Greenville, Texas and moved to Oklahoma about 1903. Graduated from Norman High School in 1911 then attended Oklahoma University, where he was President of the Junior Class, Pe-et Honor Society and Member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, graduating in 1916.
After World War I, Clark attended Law School at Harvard University and returned to Oklahoma City in 1920, becoming a member of the Faculty for the Oklahoma City Board of Education with assignments at Webster Jr. High, Classen High School and Northwest Classen High School. After retirement from Oklahoma City Schools, he was a member of the Faculty at Mount St. Mary Catholic High School for two years. In addition to his work in Education, Clark was a member of the Oklahoma National Guard, (45th Division), from 1924 until retirement at the close of World War II in 1945. Clark was continuously active at Crown Heights Christian Church as Teacher, Sponsor of Youth Groups, Deacon, Elder and Elder Emeritus.
Clark is survived by his wife Georgia of the home, son Gene and wife Virginia Cunningham, grandsons Dr. Gene Jr. and wife Jeri Cunningham of Houston, Texas, and William Cunningham of Oklahoma City, daughter Helen and husband Dr. George Alexander of Houston, Texas, and four grandchildren Diane, Raymond, George Jr., Jeffrey Alexander of Houston, Texas, and six great grandchildren. Georgia's son Frank and wife Judy Carlyle and son Kenneth. Services 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 1991 at Guardian North Williamsburg Chapel. Entombment Rose Hill Mausoleum.
