HELEN COLLINS OBITUARY
Helen Faye Collins, 72 years old of Killian, Louisiana, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013, at her residence.
Helen was born on Monday, April 21, 1941, in New Orleans.
She was a graduate of Greensburg School in 1959.
Helen worked for Bell Telephone, until she married Jimmy Collins. They moved to Hammond in 1964 where they wed until moving to Killian in 1974, where she resided the remainder of her life. She retired from The Hammond State School, where she worked as an LPN.
Surviving are husband, James Collins, sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Bob Grimsley, brother, Larry Cummings, nieces and their spouses, Sonia and Duke Roddy, Robie and Paul D'Agostino, nephews, Chad Mire, Mike Grimsley and wife Victoria and Robert Grimsley, great-nieces, Chelsea and Caitlin Roddy, Alyssa D'Agostino, Kylie Mire and Tayla Grimsley, great-nephews, Nicholas D'Agostino, Aiden, Bryan, Blake and Jude Grimsley.
She is preceded in death by parents, Daniel and Zelma Cummings, father and mother-in-law, Frank and Genevieve Collins, sister, Cathy Mire, brothers, Archie and Walter Cummings.
Friends will be received Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at All Saints Episcopal Church, 250 W. Hickory Street, Ponchatoula LA.
Services will be held at the church, Tuesday, at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Taylor officiating.
Interment will follow in the Carter Cemetery Springfield, Louisiana.
