Resident of Valley Springs Darrell Dewayne Cummings, 63, passed away at his home in Valley Springs, CA of natural causes. Darrell was born on October 23, 1946, to Earl and Vera Cummings. He graduated in 1965 from Pacifica High school and was a lifelong resident of West Pittsburg, until moving to Valley Springs, after he retired from USS/Posco Steel as a crane operator. Darrell loved working on cars and was a hobbyist mechanic and car collector who enjoyed spending time with his grandson Derick Cummings. He will be missed greatly by his family, friends and everyone who knew him. Darrell is survived by his son, Rich; his daughter-in-law Sherry; grandson Derick Cummings; his sister Louise and brother-in-law Roman Abenoja; brother Jerry and sister-in-law Betty Cummings; and brother David and sister-in law Patsy Cummings.
