Keith was born the son of Niles A. and Lena B. (Rooks) Cummings. He graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1953. He married Linda Lee (McAnallen) Cummings on May 22, 1964 in Chicago, IL. He was in the US Army stationed overseas. Keith was a lifelong resident of Bethany Twp, and retired from Alma College as an electrician in 1999 after 32 years of service. He enjoyed model trains, the HAMM radio, radio control airplanes, Farmall H tractors, hunting, and fishing. He also loved to spend time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Linda Cummings of Breckenridge, MI; son Kevin K. Cummings of Muskegon, MI; son Kerri K. and Rebecca Cummings of St. Louis, MI; daughter Kelli K. and Scott Bauer of St. Charles, MI; 5 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and 2 sisters Lois and Jim Willoughby of Shepherd, MI; and Jean Winchell of Freeland, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Rex Cummings, and a sister Eilene Houghton.
