James Edgar Cummings, 57, of Braggadocio, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at St. Louis, Mo.
Born Feb. 11, 1947, in Deering, Mo., son of Lue Wilcox, of Hayti, Mo. and the late Charles Edgar Cummings, he was employed at Pemiscot Dunklin Electric Cooperative and Crain's Service Center. He attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
On Nov. 1, 1966, in Caruthersville, Mo., he married Shelby Jean Medlin, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one daughter Karen Chandler and husband, Toby, of Kennett; one son, James Cummings, Jr., and wife, Marlena, of Deering; his step-father, James Pullam, of Braggadocio; two sisters, Linda Crum, of Kennett and Sharon Weaver, of Hayti; one brother, Scotty Pullam, of Braggadocio and four grandchildren, Jody, Heather and Brandon Chandler, all of Kennett and Payton Gilmore, of Deering.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Pullam.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with the Rev. John Keel officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
