Imelda A. (Culbert) Beaton, 92, wife of the late John H. Beaton, of Rockport, passed away at home with her family by her side on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 26, 2013. She was born in Boston, MA on February 25, 1921, daughter of the late Frank and Sarah (Nolan) Culbert. Mrs. Beaton was a long time resident of Rockport and was a communicant of St. Joachim's Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and aunt and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Beaton is survived by her children and their spouses, all of Rockport. She is also survived by a niece; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Robert Culbert, Frank Culbert, and her sister, Dorothy Crosby.

The family extends a special thank you to the Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice of the North Shore, Action, Inc. and Senior Care.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joachim's Church, Broadway, Rockport, on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 10:30 am. Family and friends are cordially invited. Visiting hours and the burial will be private.
