Son of Timothy L Cruse & Cindy Baldwin Cruse, older brother of Jason Lynn Cruse. Bryan was born in Selmer Tennessee, and then he was raised in Pocahontas Tennessee on a farm and attended Middleton High School where he earned a scholarship for Mississippi State University. He left there shortly after entering to pursue his love of flying. He went to Memphis to attend Shelby State Community College and worked at Fed Ex where he weighed the loads on the Jets. He attended Pan Am Flight School in Vero Beach Florida. He was a Certified Commercial Pilot/Flight Instructor. He then married Cindie Morris 3 months prior to his tragic accident. They had no children. Bryan was buried in Gadsden Alabama 2004 and in 2014 he was re-interred to his home in Pocahontas Tennessee.

Bryan loved people and never met a stranger. He was very comfortable in his own skin and traveled many places in his short time of 26 years.
