Born August 8, 1922, in Milton, to Roy and Nellie Petty Crull, she lived in Milton and Centerville all of her life. Marjorie was a 1940 graduate of Milton High School. While her husband, Edward, served during World War II in the Army/Air Corps and she was a "rosie riveter" in Connersville. They were owners/operators of Universal Casket Company for 27 years and Centerville Casket Company which Marjorie managed, installing interiors in caskets. Marjorie enjoyed reading and needlepoint. She was a very special lady and had a great sense of humor. Marjorie loved her family, doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Larry (Ginnie) Bellew of Richmond and Ronnie (Vadis) Bellew of Centerville; daughters, Vicki (Wendell) Hedges of Centerville and Linda (Donald) Day of Mesa, Arizona; eight grandchildren, Brenda (Arya) Zandi, Don Bellew, Matthew (Amanda) Bellew, Brian (Kara) Bellew, Justin (Sheila) Hedges, Sarah (Danny Martin) Hedges, Abbigail Day and Ian (Bri) Day; seven great-grandchildren, Elijah and Lilah Bellew, Garrett and Carter Hedges, Cayden Cook and Alinza Bellew, Blaze Doherty, and Harmini Day (on the way); sister-in-law, Mary Jane Harness of New Carlisle, Ohio; nieces; nephews; and special friend, Edna Ruth Dean of Centerville.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Edward E. Bellew, who died in 1997; parents; a grandson, Christopher Bellew in 1969; and three brothers.
Visitation for Marjorie K. Bellew will be from 5 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Mills Funeral Home officiating.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
