She was born April 27, 1918, in Carroll County, daughter of the late Hasul and Bertha Myers Crowder. She was a member of the River of Life Ministries, Poplar Camp Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Austin; and their son, Daniel Clark Austin. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Linda Austin of Pearisburg, Maurice and Pat Austin of Austinville; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Barbara and Larry Faulkner of Wytheville, Martha Rhea Austin of Laurel Fork, Penny and Frank Spencer of Max Meadows, Cheryl and Robert McLean of Niwot, Colo., and Lynn and Cam Harne of Charlotte, N.C.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clyde Crowder of Danville and Donald Crowder of County Line; two sisters, Maxine Furrow of Phoenix, Ariz., and Geraldine Lundy of West Virginia; and all who knew and loved her.
