James William (Willie) Crowder, 62, Granby, died at 2:30 a.m. today at Sale Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack earlier at his home.

He was born May 17, 1911, in Honeylake, and moved to Granby 21 years ago from Anderson. He was a member of the Granby Gospel Mission.

Survivors include his wife,Jessie, two sons, James and Robert, both of Granby, two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Grissom, Granby and Mrs. Sandra Ross, Carthage, four brothers, Millard, Kelso, Wash., Neice, Eaton, Colo., Chester, state of Nebraska, Charles, Greeley, Colo., two sisters, Mrs. Lula McCoy, Riverton, Wyo., and Miss Carrie Crowder, Nunn, Colo., and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Granby Gospel Mission with the Rev. Floyd Durham and the Rev. Ronnie Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Granby Memorial Cemetery under direction of Clark-Shewmake Funeral Home.
