Norma Jean Crouch Fowler Boswell, age 80, of Eagle Street, Harrodsburg, passed away at 6:20 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011, at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center in Harrodsburg. A native of Washington County, she was born on Feb. 21, 1931, to the late Proctor and Nettie Mae Holderman Crouch. She was a member of the Thompsonville Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Walter Edwin Boswell; a great-grandson, Aaron Lee Merriman; a brother, Walter Crouch; a sister, Martha Key; a half-brother, Jack Crouch; and four half-sisters, Louise Durr, Clara Meadow, Lela Romine and Margie Gruner.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Fowler and his wife, Debbie of Springfield and Daniel Fowler and his wife, Mary of Mackville; four daughters, Victoria Haney and her husband, Robert of Harrodsburg, Virginia Fowler of Harrodsburg, Deborah Coyle and her husband, Jerry of Willisburg and Kathryn Wilkerson and her husband, Bob of Bardstown; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Taylor of Bardstown; and a brother, Buford Crouchand his wife, Gwen of Gretna, Louisiana.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 21 at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Derek Baker, pastor of Pleasant Grove Church in Harrodsburg, officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Michael Harmon, Quinnten Fowler and James Merriman. Casket bearers were Noble Boswell, Joseph Fowler, William Mudd, Rusty Fowler,
Robert Fowler and Dion Merriman. Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
