Mary Ellen Chalfin

McGUFFEY, Sept. 15 - Mrs. Mary Ellen Chalfin, 62, native of Allen-co and a resident of Hardin-co for the past 35 years, died at her home in McDonald-tp, Hardin-co, Wednesday.

Rev. L. I. Musser will conduct rites at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Disciple church in McGuffey and burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Ada.

Her husband, Joe; seven sons, Robert and Joe, at home; Clayburn of McDonald-tp; Irvin of Marion-tp; Homer and Fred of McGuffey; and Lloyd of Cessna-tp; and four daughters, Dortha, at home; Mrs. Lena Bowers of Lynn-tp; Mrs. Ethel Draper, Grant, Mich.; Mrs. Edith Rainsburg, Foraker, survive. A daughter preceded her in death.

Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Vada Sherid, Harrod; Mrs. May Ice, Westminster; Mrs. Bessie Hall, Lima; Mrs. Elpha Copey, Muncie, Ind.; a brother, Guy Crosley, Lima; 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
