An extraordinary and well-lived life ended when Dale Crist died at his Hallam Township residence on Friday, April 15, 2011 following an 11-year struggle with Parkinson's disease, as he passed from his earthly life into eternal glory. He retired from a life long career with the family business, The Rutter's Corporations.
Dale is survived by his wife of more than six decades, Evamae Barton Crist; a daughter, Kendra Cross, and her husband Robert, of Goshen, Indiana; a son, Johnny Crist, and his wife Anne, of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter-in-law Edith Crist, of York; thirteen grandchildren; a brother, Jay Crist, of York; and a sister Doreen Myers, of Elgin, Illinois. A son, Jeffrey Crist, preceded him in death.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011 at First Church of the Brethren, 2710 Kingston Road, York, Pa. Friends and relatives are invited to the visitations which are scheduled from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2011 and 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the church. A private burial is planned at the Barton Family Estate Cemetery, Pinto, Maryland. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York {the former Hahn Home} is in charge of arrangements.
