TURPIN, Okla. Donita P. Crews, 67, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at Southwest Medical Center.
She was born June 13, 1937, to Charles L. and Lorena P. Salley King in Liberal.
She married Howard Crews Aug. 17, 1973, in Dumas, Texas. He survives.
She attended school in Liberal.
She was a X-ray tech and worked in medical records at Southwest Medical Center.
Later, she was an assistant for Dr. Jack Reese for 25 years.
She was a member of the First Church of God in Liberal.
Other survivors include one son, Rodney Nelson and wife Ginger, Liberal; one daughter, Cindy Cockerham and husband Felton, Albemarle, N.C.; seven grandchildren including Jenny Crews, whom she raised; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Edward King, Waco, Texas, Donald King, Tulsa, Okla., and and Lynn King, Salina, Okla.; and four sisters, Roberta Pettyjohn, Caldwell, Beverly Gauerke, Turpin, Okla., Ruth Violet, Muskogee, Okla., and Nancy Carlile, Liberal.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Alex Chavez.
* Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Church of God with the Rev. David Parker presiding.
Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery
